In celebration of its Golden Jubilee, Sentosa gave away 1,972 exclusive NFT artworks to Islanders, each a manifestation of Discovery. Sentosa, invited 15 artists of various backgrounds to help capture the local paradise with its many hidden discoveries with the Island as the main inspiration for each piece. The artist, can go wherever they wished around the island and were challenged to translate the idea of Discovery Neverending in their unique style and create an NFT piece with 132 variations.

As a child, I loved floating in bodies of water just to the point where my ears were under the surface. In that state I couldn’t hear anything, just the muted sounds of water ebbing softly in my ears, against my face and the warmness of it all around me. It was a comforting pause; an escape from the noise that comes with life that seems to never stop rushing ahead. At that time, it felt like getting a protective hug from nature. 

I feel that same feeling when visiting Sentosa. I saw what it is and can be for people. A warm hug. A hideaway. A pause. Connecting us to the very earth we live on and the metaphorical roots we have grown from.
