Interactive Fairytale Book Concept
Twisted Tales is an interactive book making use of scratch ticket stickers where the reader can choose part of the original fairytale they want to retain and what part they want to destroy. It’s challenging the role of the reader within the act of storytelling as this puts the control of the message in the reader. It also encourages the reader to engage in the internal dilemma to destroy or maintain in order to progress. The destruction of the original design also highlights the idea that one will read and observe something closer if they can only read it once. Thus making it more precious.

The reader can choose how much of the top layer image they wish to scratch off and how much of the alternate story they wish to uncover. The end result will vary depending on the reader and thus no one book and one experience will be the same, putting the control within the reader’s hands as to how they wish to consume the story.
